IWSG

I got hired for the 2013-2014 school year! Yay! I'll be teaching second grade again at the school my kids go to, so double bonus!

Because I started teaching again this year, I've written about 1,001 words in 9 months. I'm trying to look at it like a much needed break to make me really appreciate how much I love to write.

And now that I have two months at home with my kids, I'll be writing as much as humanly possible. I'm so excited to get back into it! I've missed it so :) And you guys too!

Do you have any fun writing plans? Or vacation plans? I hope to see you around the blogosphere this summer!

Happy writing :)

  1. Congrats on being hired for the new school year. What a relief!!!!

Don't worry about word count, Hope. Sometimes we need a break. That's okay. Everyone works differently. I, for one, cannot write every day, so many others can! :-)

  3. I'll be spending the summer writing my dissertation, and since it's a creative writing one that's fine with me! I'm loving my ideas for it, so I can't wait to get writing :)

  4. Congrats on the job! I know it's crazy, but I always seem to write more when my time is highly impinged by things like work, or kids, or alien invasions. As for me, I'm trying to finish up a rough draft this month (ha!) and then I'm on to more editing. It's like writing is this never ending cycle of writing then revising...

    Happy Summer Writing!

  6. Good for you! Enjoy your summer.

I had writing plans, but they got derailed. I'm trying to regroup and deal with the disappointment.

IWSG# 123, until Alex culls the list again. :)

  10. Congratulations on your new job! The teaching market is pretty tough right now, so it's always nice to have a job opportunity. I'm hoping to possibly be up to the 400K mark on my WIP by the end of the summer. I'm up at around 350K now, so it won't be that hard if I work steadily.
