I love an award :)

Thanks Kelley

And thank you Leigh

You ladies have awesome blogs and give wonderful comments, thank you, thank you, thank you!  Awards totally make me smile :)

And I think I'll go for fives here:

1. I have to plug my nose when jumping in a pool, a lake, the ocean, whatever.  No matter how much I've practiced, my nose is not built to withstand water.

2.  One of my favorite non-chocolate snacks is dry Cheerios.  I eat them in pairs.

3.  I'm a painfully slow reader, I read in my head the same speed I read aloud.  In school, when we had to read a section and then wait while the others finished, I cheated every time.  I'd read the topic sentences and bold typed stuff and hope I got the gist of what was going on.  There's no way I was gonna be last :)

4.  I hate being last.

5.  It snowed a foot here in the past twenty-four hours, not usual for this part of Washington.

And the awards go to

Crystal at Reading, Writing and A Little Bit of Nonsense

and even though I know Cassie has these awards, she needs them again :)

  1. You're so welcome!!

LOVE these. I like that dry Cheetos are your favorite 'non chocolate snack'. :)

I saw you guys on my local weather last night with your record snowfalls! I was like...Hope lives there!

  2. Everyone is getting snow but me. I'm so jealous, though a foot is a little too much :) I'd be happy with an inch or two.

    1. I like the couple inches that hangs around for a couple days, enough to sled and play in, but doesn't interfere with driving :)

  3. I have to plug my nose too! The hubs makes fun of me, but sorry... I'm gonna breath in if the hole allows me to.

    1. I know! My husband has tried to "coach" me on how to blow out while jumping in, I really don't believe that works for anyone :)

  4. Well thank you! I can do number 1, I prefer White Cheddar Cheez-Its, I read fast but I write slow, I hate being LATE, and it hasn't snowed here in a year (almost exactly). Might find time to do 5 more and pass along soon.

  5. Thanks lady. I'll have to get on distributing these. My kids used to live off of dry cheerios.

  7. Thank you so much, Hope, for thinking of me and MfC. I am thanking you blog-wise today (well, tomorrow by the time it actually posts) and then will share the awards in a weekend post. Awards make me smile, too! It really is like Christmas - you and Kelley have been blog-Santas!

  9. Hahahaha I am the same way about plugging my nose-- I was so embarrassed as a kid but now I feel a bit more secure in this lame aspect of my personality. The thought of even TRYING to not plug my nose completely stresses me out. My nose likes to breathe, and even if I tell it not to, it will try to breathe the water. It is very stubborn this way.

And I used to have a roommate who DEVOURED cheerios by the box-- She was an amazing person, but I always found that to be one of her most endearing qualities. She was a super disciplined student and I would hear her rustling her way through some cheerios while studying at all hours of the night.

  10. Thanks so much for the awards!! Kelley gave me these as well, so I didn't even think to look for my name on your post :) Now I've got double the award strength~~ Mwahahahahah!

I'm a slow reader too, and ultra jealous of people who get through more than two books a week. And my favorite thing about this post is that you eat Cheerios in pairs. That's adorable :)

  11. I can read two books in one week if it's the ONLY thing I do :) Seriously barely eat, my house falls apart, and my children become neglected :) But sometimes books are so good I can't help myself (and my slowness doesn't help either)!
