I got hired for the 2013-2014 school year! Yay! I'll be teaching second grade again at the school my kids go to, so double bonus!
Because I started teaching again this year, I've written about 1,001 words in 9 months. I'm trying to look at it like a much needed break to make me really appreciate how much I love to write.
And now that I have two months at home with my kids, I'll be writing as much as humanly possible. I'm so excited to get back into it! I've missed it so :) And you guys too!
Do you have any fun writing plans? Or vacation plans? I hope to see you around the blogosphere this summer!
Happy writing :)
Congrats on being hired for the new school year. What a relief!!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about word count, Hope. Sometimes we need a break. That's okay. Everyone works differently. I, for one, cannot write every day, so many others can! :-)
This is going to be a mega-writing summer for me too. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'll be spending the summer writing my dissertation, and since it's a creative writing one that's fine with me! I'm loving my ideas for it, so I can't wait to get writing :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the job! I know it's crazy, but I always seem to write more when my time is highly impinged by things like work, or kids, or alien invasions. As for me, I'm trying to finish up a rough draft this month (ha!) and then I'm on to more editing. It's like writing is this never ending cycle of writing then revising...
ReplyDeleteHappy Summer Writing!
Congrats again!! I have super fun writing plans for this summer as soon as you get out of school. ;0)
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Enjoy your summer.
ReplyDeleteI had writing plans, but they got derailed. I'm trying to regroup and deal with the disappointment.
IWSG# 123, until Alex culls the list again. :)
Congratulations! Enjoy your summer writing and spending time with your kids. Hopefully, I'll be doing the same this summer. (:
ReplyDeleteI'm doing JuNoWriMo and writing my first MG novel. Glad you'll be working in a job you love. Best of luck with writing more.

Congratulations on the job! That's super convenient that it's your kids' school. Hopefully less driving around for you. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new job! The teaching market is pretty tough right now, so it's always nice to have a job opportunity. I'm hoping to possibly be up to the 400K mark on my WIP by the end of the summer. I'm up at around 350K now, so it won't be that hard if I work steadily.
