The colors, the beaches, the history (I'm not really a fan of history), who wouldn't want to travel where kings and queens travel?
I've wanted to go since the first time I watched To Catch a Thief, and I've seen it a few times so I really want to go! Cary Grant cruises along with Grace Kelley in a convertible, all the while she suspects him of being a famous cat burgler but falls in love with him despite this. Classic. I assume this happens to everyone when they visit the French Riviera :)

Saint-Tropez
Have you been to any of these places?
Not been there, but I really should as it isn't so far away from my home on the south coast of England!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great trip you could take since you're so close :) There's tons of amazing destinations by you :) Wish I lived over there!
DeleteThis has been a dream of mine to visit all my life! Thank you so much for the beautiful pics filled with SO MUCH color and LIFE!!!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised by the color too! Must, must, must go now :)
DeleteI was in Nice once--for only one day. I would LOVE to go on a cruise of the Riviera--or more so the whole Mediterranean: Greece, Italy, Spain, Turkey. That would be a dream cruise.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Me too!
DeleteI'm with Jack. Want to go there so much. Writer's conference anyone?
ReplyDeleteThat would be the most awesome writer's conference ever! A lot of history and setting to spin into stories :)
DeleteNo, but I want to go! Looks so lovely!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could see one or two of these places on your 10th anniversary trip :)
DeleteI have never been to any of those places but after looking at those pictures, I definitely want to go. Joshua has a great idea. Writer's Conference all the way.
ReplyDeleteYep! That would be an amazing place for a Writer's Conference!!!
DeleteThe sky is so beautiful and blue! I guess I can understand why famous, rich people go there for vacation!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a beautiful destination!
DeleteGorgeous pics! Wow. Makes the view from home desk seem a little dull. http://1000wrongs.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI have a picture like the one with boats somewhere, I should find it and hang it near my desk :) Thanks for the idea!
DeleteI'm going to Marseille in June! Yippie! I'll take lots of pics for you Hope ;)
ReplyDeleteYou lucky, lucky girl Kelley! Can't WAIT to see the pictures and hear about your adventure!!
DeleteI've been almost nowhere. But these look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGood place to dream about :)
DeleteNow I've got that song stuck in my head. You know the one by Hootie who'd not Hootie anymore?
ReplyDeleteI'm listening to it right now :) May not be no French Riviera, but it's all the same to me as long as I'm with you...
ReplyDeleteBonjour Hope,
ReplyDeleteMerci for stopping by and commenting on Oma, and love these pics! I *did* live in Paris area for a year - but never made it down there... shame :(
I've been to Monaco and Nice. Nice was one my absolute favorite places to go. Sooo beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNo, but I really really want to!
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me that people get to actually live in a place this beautiful. How do they get anything accomplished?
ReplyDeleteI've driven up from Italy to France along the Riviera. I was a bit too tired and grumpy at the time to really appreciate it, but I did still recognise its beauty :)
