Around the World in 26 Letters--Hawaii

All of these pictures are taken by either my sister, my mom, or me (possibly a husband or a child), no Google help needed on this post :)

This is the sunset from the house we stayed at in Waikoloa.

Last year (February 2011), my mom took our family (my sister, her husband and their two kids, me, my husband and our two kids, my brother, and herself) to Hawaii, the Big Island. It was unbelievable. We stayed in a house in Waikoloa for four days and then moved to a house in Kona for the rest of the trip. FABULOUS!

My mom and my brother at the luau--beautiful setting!

Gotta have shaved ice, lots and lots of shaved ice!

My daughter and me boogie boarding at
Hapuna Beach--can't believe how much fun that is!

Lots of turtles!

My son caught his own fish!

 That's a volcano behind us!

Black sand beach

And I'll end with another beautiful sunset from the house we stayed in at Kona :)

  6. Okay. I shared my Hawaii time change story on Jade's site, so I'll give you something different. I've been lucky to visit Hawaii a few times. The last one was the first year I started writing. I could sit all day on one of those chaise lounge/canopy chairs, writing and staring off into the rolling waves. HEAVEN. I got a longer lasting battery just for that trip, although I still had to recharge it after about 5 hours.

Btw, we were on the Big Island too this last time.
