Some of the X cities listed in the back of my atlas (which was printed in 1985, but not that dated where it really counts) are Xánthi, Greece; Xilitla, Mexico; Xochimilco, Mexico; and a whole bunch of cities in China, among them Xinyang, Xuzhou, Xining, Xigaze, and Xuanhua.
I used to dream of it when I was a kid. Of course, I was convinced I'd be the next Indiana Jones. lol And I used to comb the beaches for some evidence of buried pirate treasure. I think the hunt is more fun the actually finding anything. It's that childlike hope and belief that it can be done.
Good job on X Marks the spot--X had to be a tough one. We've made treasure maps with the kids--it's a fun project for them.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Good one, Hope! I especially love the map!
ReplyDeleteThat would be so cool! I am almost positive I'd get lost though - my map reading skills are no good!
ReplyDeleteWhat about Xinzhu City, Taiwan?
ReplyDeleteYeah I'd love a trip like that. :-D
ReplyDeleteI'm all for a treasure hunt. But no, I don't know any X destination spots.
