Technically, I think it's Turks & Caicos, but I needed it to fit for the letter C :) I'm a sun and beach kind of girl. I love heat. I love the sound of water. I love the colors filling places like this. Being from Washington state, getting to these tropical places can take a while. The closest options are the Hawaiian Islands or Mexico. My husband and I have been to both a few times, so for our 10th anniversary I started looking up beach destinations that wouldn't take too much time flying in airplanes. Turks & Caicos weren't too terribly far away, so they made it on the list. Unfortunately we didn't go, but some day we hope to.
Looks pretty dreamy to me :)
Looks pretty dreamy to me :)
The water there looks unreal! Awesome destination!
ReplyDeleteSo cool to swim in water that color!
DeleteI'm not much of a hot weather girl, but I love the look of those beaches, they look so peaceful!
ReplyDeleteI think I could handle sitting there for quite a while :)
DeleteI'm loving your entries for the A-Z challenge. You're very well travelled. Turks & Caicos looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be more traveled :)
DeleteWOW! i've never been to a place like that! never heard of this one in particular either...
ReplyDeletebut jeezlouise! it looks beautiful!
I was pretty excited when it made it on to the list of possibilities :) I don't think there's much to do there except sit on that beach, sounds pretty perfect to me!
DeleteGorgeous! I'm not sure where Turks & Caicos is, the ignorant American that I am, but I will have to look it up.
ReplyDeleteIt's not far off of Florida, so not too much extra flight time beyond the US :)
DeleteOh, that looks like such a beautiful place to go. I really, really want to sit on that beach.
ReplyDeleteI know! It's pouring like mad here, I'd give just about anything to be some place dry right now :)
DeleteLooks nice. My hubby and I are planning our 10th next year and we both realized we aren't so much beaches and umbrellas. I want to experience another culture and see places I love. So Europe is on our list, preferably English speaking places for our first trip across the pond.
ReplyDeleteOh so fun! I hope you guys get to go!
DeleteI am not a sun and beach girl. Or boy, for that matter. That said, I'd go there at least once, just for the water.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! You could wear some of those t-shirts there to stay out of the sun ;)
DeleteWonderful picture. Funny to see you write that the T&C are not far away as I always (from the UK) think of them as so distanrt. Hope you get there one day and have a fabulous time.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Washington, so the flight time might be similar :) But it's worth it to get to places like that!
DeletePretty! I want to lie down on that beach so bad. I'd even squeeze myself into a bathing suit for it. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! With all this rain, I'd be willing to do just about anything to be on that beach :)
DeleteOooh, I want to go!
ReplyDeleteHello sunshine!
DeleteMy husband and I met here. It's just beautiful. I'd love to go back some day.
ReplyDeleteA2ZMommy and What’s In Between
That is so romantic!
DeleteI love the color of the water in the Caribbean - that turquoise is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip!
Wish I lived there :)
DeleteHi Hope - it's so great to meet you!
ReplyDeleteI'm from Seattle - so I know EXACTLY what you mean about needing the sun, the heat, and the beach! The pictures you've posted are beautiful...I so wish I was there, right now.
Never been to T&C - but lived in Hawaii throughout college (my Mom's side of the family is all from there), and have traveled pretty much all over Mexico, the DR, Central and South America - I hope to make it to T&C at some point, too!
Lovely post - looking forward to where we get to go tomorrow!
The rain can stop at any time! Let the sun peek through please!!!
DeleteThat's some beautiful water! My first beach experience was in Costa Rica, and I couldn't believe how gorgeous (and warm!) the water was. Caicos looks like it would be even better!
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to Costa Rica!
DeleteWow, those pictures are beautiful! And the blue water is so blue! Would love to go.
ReplyDeleteMy C
Blue, warm, beautiful!
DeleteThat looks incredibly dreamy to me. I've never been to a place with such clear blue water!
ReplyDeleteI've seen it a few times in other places, incredible!
DeleteUmm..yes! Lets go to the beach!
ReplyDeleteYes! When we go on our first trip, we're gonna need to hit a lot of places ;)
DeleteOh wow - love your theme. *jealous bc I didn't think of it*
ReplyDeleteAnd those photos are so beauteous. I long for turquoise water and white sand beaches that make your skin look like it's been dipped in sugar.
Sigh.
Ahhh, sighing with you ;o
DeleteI'm all about the warm weather and sunshine. Although I probably won't go too far into the water cause I'm a complete chicken and think sharks are going to eat me! lol Ah - well. I'll still go and enjoy the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteMe too Leigh! I know they're not swimming there waiting just for me, but I'm constantly looking for them! I can't snorkel because of them :(
DeleteI am a warm weather, sunshine and each girl also. My husband and almost went there a few years back, but ended up going to St.Kitts. Have you been to St. Lucia? That is next on my list.
ReplyDeleteI bet it was fabulous! I'd love to go to any of the Virgin Islands! Well, anywhere down there would be fine with me :)
DeleteThat's just beautiful... White sand and blue sea - what's not to love?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretending I'm there right now...
DeleteIt does look dreamy. I've never been to a place that looks that way!
ReplyDeleteI love the ocean, but I hate summer and heat ;) So yeah...not my ideal location. haha. I had never actually heard of Caicos, so thanks for the geography lesson! :)
