Around the World in 26 Letters--Caicos

Technically, I think it's Turks & Caicos, but I needed it to fit for the letter C :) I'm a sun and beach kind of girl. I love heat. I love the sound of water. I love the colors filling places like this. Being from Washington state, getting to these tropical places can take a while. The closest options are the Hawaiian Islands or Mexico. My husband and I have been to both a few times, so for our 10th anniversary I started looking up beach destinations that wouldn't take too much time flying in airplanes. Turks & Caicos weren't too terribly far away, so they made it on the list. Unfortunately we didn't go, but some day we hope to.

Looks pretty dreamy to me :)

    1. It's not far off of Florida, so not too much extra flight time beyond the US :)

  7. Looks nice. My hubby and I are planning our 10th next year and we both realized we aren't so much beaches and umbrellas. I want to experience another culture and see places I love. So Europe is on our list, preferably English speaking places for our first trip across the pond.

  8. I am not a sun and beach girl. Or boy, for that matter. That said, I'd go there at least once, just for the water.

  9. Wonderful picture. Funny to see you write that the T&C are not far away as I always (from the UK) think of them as so distanrt. Hope you get there one day and have a fabulous time.

  13. Hi Hope - it's so great to meet you!
I'm from Seattle - so I know EXACTLY what you mean about needing the sun, the heat, and the beach! The pictures you've posted are beautiful...I so wish I was there, right now.
Never been to T&C - but lived in Hawaii throughout college (my Mom's side of the family is all from there), and have traveled pretty much all over Mexico, the DR, Central and South America - I hope to make it to T&C at some point, too!
Lovely post - looking forward to where we get to go tomorrow!

  18. Oh wow - love your theme. *jealous bc I didn't think of it*
And those photos are so beauteous. I long for turquoise water and white sand beaches that make your skin look like it's been dipped in sugar.
    Sigh.

  19. I'm all about the warm weather and sunshine. Although I probably won't go too far into the water cause I'm a complete chicken and think sharks are going to eat me! lol Ah - well. I'll still go and enjoy the sunshine!
