D.C. is an awesome place to visit AND live. I still can't believe I get to take Jack to Mt. Vernon just to hang out on a random morning, or that they have story time at the Library of Congress, or that all of the museums are FREE! And the cherry blossoms, though short-lived, are spectacular :)
Yes I have (finally, a place on this tour I've been to)! Not for very long, however. Most I remember is the Smithsonian and the Lincoln Memorial. Weather was nice. :)
I finally got there on business about ten years ago. We were supposed to go in 1968, but cancelled our plans after Martin Luther King was assassinated, and just never got around to it after that. My brother went to Georgetown for a couple of years, though.
I went to DC, but it was eight years ago now. I LOVED it. All of it. We went around Christmas, but it was unseasonably warm and it was all just beautiful. I'd go again in a heartbeat.
When I was a kid. Can't wait to bring my own there now. They're a little young yet to appreciate everything, but maybe in a few years.
ReplyDeleteI've been there, Hope. Awesome city. I love the capital, especially at night. I loved the lights and settings around the whole area. Beautiful! :)

ReplyDeleteI've been there twice. Once with my high school band and once with my college choir. It's an amazing place to visit.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to DC, but I hear great things about it!
ReplyDeleteI shall go as soon as possible!
It's after all just a short train ride from New York City...
I've never been, but I suppose I should go visit my BIL one of these days and see the sights.
ReplyDeleteI've been twice. LOVE D.C. Love the historic magic! ;)

ReplyDeleteYep, I've visited Washington D.C., and I also know a girl who used to study at the uni I work at, who now lives there! I'm so jealous! ;)
ReplyDeleteWashington DC is great. We took a yearlong road trip in 2006-07, and that was one of the places we went. I really liked the Library of Congress.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend on vacation in DC right now! I'm so jealous. I hear wonderful things. It would be such a neat place to visit. So much history!
